SISTEMAR congratulates GREENSHIP GAS, Singapore, for the delivery of M/V JS GREENSTONE, the first out of four 12,000 m³ LEG gas carriers ordered for their subsidiary company EVERGAS, Copenhagen, and fitted with CLT propeller.
This successful delivery is an important milestone for SISTEMAR and for CLT propellers for three reasons:

These were the first orders for CLT propellers from a Chinese Shipyard;

These were the first CLT propellers tested at model field in China
-
These were the first CLT propellers ever manufactured in China
The selection of the propeller was made after extensive study at model field, comparing conventional and CLT propeller, the tests results were clearly in favor of the CLT design and prompted the Owners to install the CLT propeller.
The sea trials, carried out in the East China Sea, confirmed the success of this design modification to the original contract. The installation of the CLT propeller increased the propulsive efficiency by more than 5%, exact saving figures depending on the draught and the speed.
A complete analysis of the results obtained with CLT propellers has been presented by EVERGAS, SINM and SISTEMAR in a paper at the 38th Motor Ship Propulsion and Emissions Conference held in Hamburg on 11-12th May 2016.
