SISTEMAR is a Spanish company highly specialised in ship propulsion and mainly in the propeller design field. It was created in 1987 thanks to the sponsorship of professionals and companies of great prestige. Most of the shareholders are Naval Architects with a very wide experience in shipyards, shipping companies, ship design consultants, engine suppliers, etc. Its main objective is to carry out consulting activities in naval hydrodynamics but also include :

• R&D activities
• propellers design, marketing and supply
• technical assistance and advisory services in propulsion systems and hull lines, noise and vibrations problems, ship manoeuvrability, etc.

SISTEMAR has developed a special type of propeller (CLT propeller) which noticeably improves the performance of conventional propellers.

In 1998 SISTEMAR was awarded by the Spanish Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (AINE) as the best Spanish company dealing with the naval sector.
